The Primal Connection is proud to announce that it has been awarded the status of a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization by the Internal Revenue Service of the United States of America.

 

This status indicates that the Federal Government supports the work and goals of the Primal Connection to the extent of allowing donations to the Organization to be deducted from individual and corporate federal income tax.  In addition the Primal Connection is eligible for reduced postal rates and government, corporate, foundation and individual grants not otherwise available.  The Primal Connection has been a Florida not-for-profit corporation since 2001.

 

  The organization is dedicated to using hand drums as a cross-disciplinary educational tool, as well as a healing and therapeutic aid in the health care and geriatric fields.  The Primal Connection also supports a multi-cultural, world rhythm, percussion ensemble dedicated to improving cultural relations by using the universal language of rhythm to illustrate our oneness of origin and unity of spirit.

 

Programs offered in the Primal Connection’s Educultural Outreach Program include the following:

  • The teaching of math, Geography, Sociology, art and music using percussion as a cross-disciplinary educational tool.
  • Educultural World Tour performances for schools,
    after school programs and public events.
  • Community drum circles designed to bring the races and generations together in the spirit of brother/sisterhood.
  • School Percussion Workshops and assistance
    to existing percussion programs.
  • Programs for special populations to include the mentally
    challenged and the hearing impaired.
  • Percussion classes for beginners that introduce
    students to a variety of world drums and playing techniques.
  • Drum therapy programs for Alzheimer’s, Autism Parkinson's disease, cancer patients, PTSD and stress reduction.
  • Team building and aggression outlet programs
    for troubled youth
  • Programs to bring the aerobic and spirit lifting properties of hand drumming into health care and nursing institutions.

    After school and Summer Programs for children.
